Obesity how do we solve it?

Obesity

Hey guys, today I'm going to tackle the obesity issue the biggest problem facing the developed world at the moment. I sometimes wonder about the accuracy of the surveys that have Australia on top of the list as the most obese per captitor in the world. How can this be? i was just at Kangaroo Point and there were 100's of people training. Some in boot camps, some climbing the stairs, some running, some playing sport etc. We look like the fittest country in the world not the fattest. Maybe it was a typo. But no its true unfortunately.

But how can this be? We are the lucky country where everyone lives near the beach, plays cricket and has BBQ's and an outdoor culture. There are many of us who do that then there are many more who do not. Who spend all day in front of a computer only to go home and do the same at home. We all have friends, partners, family members, work colleagues who fit into this category.

This is the great divide between those who train all the time and those who dont at all and there doesn't seam anyone in the middle.

So how do we get these people training? It must be daunting for them with all these really fit people running around they probably look and think i can keep up i will feel so unfit and give up. We need to encourage them to come along and train with us. Of course it will be hard at first but once they get the bug they will be fine right? We just got to get them into it. But how do we do it?

Most of the time I write articles about nutrition, training or a new training technique or new super food. But I'm not getting to the people who need it the most. So how do we? Do we have bring a friend scheme to bring the silent majority out? Im not sure how but i want to find out how and i need your help. So if you have an idea write me back. The best idea wins a free PT for you and a friend. So write back and lets work it out together.
 Cheers Ash
