As the cold and Flu season approaches a lot of people will soon succumb to the old ' im too sick to train' excuse. Unless your diet is poor or you have a pre existing illness you should only ever get sick a couple of times a year if that. If you eat really well, sleep enough and train you might not get sick at all. But I understand that not everyone eats that well, most people are stressed at work and don't sleep enough and because of this are tired and sick a lot and then miss training a lot. Now if your really sick or contagious then by all means stay home but if its self inflicted for example a big nite out then get out of bed and hit the training track even if you do half the amount its better than nothing.
If your a person who is sick all the time then you must push through it because if you were to miss training every time you have a slight cold or headache you will never train. If you rarely get sick like me then on that odd occasion when you get sick its OK to stay at home and feel sorry for yourself.
My advise eat well, sleep well and train hard and never get sick. But if you can't do that next time your sick be honest with yourself I am I that sick that I can't get out of bed or is or just an excuse. If its an excuse then get out and train you will be so glad.
