Exercise improves strength and mobility of muscles. Im not talking about body building Im talking about functional training for a functional body. Your muscles are what allows us to move, reach, walk, talk and pretty much do everything we do. Without muscles we would be unable to move or do anything. So you want strong and mobile muscles for a strong and mobile world. That will allow you to keep performing tasks til your old and grey. You don't have to be shipped off to a retirement home at 70. With strong muscles you can stay independent until your in your 90's. It doesn't mean you have to lift heavy weights at a gym just body weight exercises are great. In fact body weight exercises are much better and more functional than machines and weights. So get out there are start dipping, planking, lunging, squatting, step uping, running, push uping and pull uping.
